Join us for an EnCompass Learning Lab session on Friday morning. This is a no additional charge, highly focused session for EnCompass users that are considering or have recently transitioned to Version 8.0. We will be doing a "deep dive" on some of the new features in 8.0 and discussing why these features are useful for emerging planning applications. This Learning Lab is for EnCompass users only, and will take place in the Windows breakout space.

Topics will include:

• End Effects and Skipped Years for capacity expansion: particularly valuable for simulations that are looking at long duration battery options and need detailed hourly representation.
• Commitment Decisions versus Dispatch Decisions representing differences between day-ahead and real-time markets. We will work through examples of how the optimization solves differently for each of these markets.
• Modeling imbalance markets with a "superset" topology entity that spans balancing authorities and is used as a reference for simulating LMP's for a load-weighted region.
• User interface redesign and new features available to the analyst.
